GERMAN LANGUAGE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO USE THE
NAZI PEOPLE'S RADIO OR VOLKSEMPFÄNGER

Over the years we have purchased many original Third Reich Volksempfänger in Germany and Austria which we resold to collectors in the United States. The price of old bakelite Volksempfänger has gone up over the years and they have become very difficult to buy in Europe.
On the other hand, we recently had a chance to buy a small quantity of very beautifully reprinted facsimiles of the original illustrated 4-page instruction booklet that came with those Volksempfänger explaining how to operate the Nazi People’s Radio built under the direction of Dr. Joseph Goebbels' Reichsministerium für Volksaufklärung und Propaganda (State Ministry of National Community Clarification and Publicity) during the Third Reich. This would be a wonderful companion piece or accessory for those who own a Nazi People’s Radio.
We offer these as historical curios, and perhaps a helpful tool for somebody who owns
an original Volksempfänger or has an interest in Nazi radios. Excellent condition.
The Volksempfänger VE 301 Dyn W and GW were the radio models introduced in 1938, with a better quality electrodynamic speaker (Dyn stands for dynamisch) than the models produced between 1933 and 1937. Both models and their features are well explained in the brochure.
The 125 x 185 mm (about 5 x 7 inch), 4-panel Technische Betriebsanleitung or Technical Instructions leaflet appears to be a remarkable facsimile of an original Third Reich example with an eagle and swastika on the front page inside a 45 mm (1-¾ inch) circle, fine quality photos of the radios, and German text in red and black ink, just as the originals did.
