Panzerabwehr aller Waffen is a spectacular completely original, small 4-¾ x 6-¼ inch Third Reich tank identification guide in the German language containing two very large and colorful tank ID charts and other data contained in folio form. It is a publication by the Oberkommando des Heeres (OKH) that was used in the Offizier Anwärterschule (Officer Candidate School) to teach prospective non-comms and officers how to identify and target foreign tanks that they would engage on the East Front in Soviet Russia.

There is a 24-page well-illustrated booklet stapled into the folio and two charts contained in the folio. The illustrated booklet is in great condition although the cover looks a little rough from carrying it in a tunic pocket or backpack of some kind.

The first of the two charts is on cardstock and measures only 6 x 16-½ inches and contains eight panels that allow the user to quickly identify and gather data on 24 different armored vehicles they are apt to encounter in Russia. It is identified as Panzer-Erkennungstafel 1 (Armored Vehicle Identification Table 1) for Panzer-Beobachtungsdienst, Panzer-Warndienst, (Tank Observers, Tank Warning Service), etc. titled Übersichtstafel der Panzerfahrzeuge in Sowjetrußland (Overview Chart of Armored Vehicles in Soviet-Russia) dated 1 February 1943 and is in very nice, lightly used condition.

The second chart is very much larger, measuring 11-¾ x 34-¼ inches. It is double-sided and provides detailed photos and data on 23 different tanks and armored vehicles (Russian, American, British, etc.) as well as details of their construction. This chart is identified as Panzer-Erkennungstafel 2 Die sowjet-russische Panzerwaffe (Armored Vehicle Identification Table 2 the Soviet-Russian Armored Vehicles) dated 1 February 1943. It is in very nice, virtually unused condition.

This military publication was given the manual number H.Dv.469/2a and was printed by the firm of Erich Zander of Berlin. We have been able to locate only one other existing example, in the archive of a military museum in western Europe!
