This is an original heavily illustrated undated Third Reich booklet that was saved by a member of the National Socialist Community Kraft durch Freude or Strength through Joy (a unit of the DAF or Deutsche Arbeitsfront or German Labor Front) from Gau Weser-Ems and was a Norwegenfahrer, a passenger on a KdF cruise to Norway leaving from the Hanseatic city of Bremen, a port on the Weser river estuary.

The Bremen guide was published by the Amt für Reisen, Wandern und Urlaub of Nazi Party Gau Weser-Ems and page 2 contains a welcome message from the Office for Travel, Hiking and Vacation. They wanted the start of the KdF cruise in Bremen to be a good first experience hoping that when the travelers would return to their homes, they would spread the work about wonderful Hansestadt Bremen and create a bridge between northwest Germany and the rest of Nazi Germany.

The 16 pages in this 5-5/8 x 8-1/4 inch KdF cruise passenger publication contain photos of and tourist information about Bremen and its harbor, the beautiful Gothic city hall, the Hanseatic buildings on the market square, the Roland statue as well as excursion and guided tour options. There is a photo of the steamship Bremen in the harbor as well.

Additional information states that cruise departures were after high tide at about 8 o'clock in the morning, and that cruises on Der Deutsche departed on Mondays, and on the Sierra Cordoba on Thursdays. For complaints about accommodations on the ship, passengers were advised to contact their Gau Weser-Ems tour guide.

Rare original Third Reich KdF cruise travel material, complete and in very nice, little used condition. No odor.
