The picture section (about two-thirds of the book) has wonderful images of weapons of the period of all kinds, a variety of German and foreign (American, English, French, Japanese, etc.) naval ships, airplane types and troops, poison gas, etc.

Welt in Waffen is subtitled “Reports, Photos, Numbers for a Debate about Security and Disarmament”. The material in the 90+ year old book was assembled by German authors Friedrich Böer and Fritz Drach and it contains pictures by Associated Press, Keystone View Company, New York Times, Transocean, Scherl Bilderdienst and other German and foreign companies.

The book has chapters giving different points of view on the subject of disarmament.

A general wrote a chapter called “Against the War”, a diplomat wrote a chapter titled “The Problem of Disarmament in the Framework of European Cooperation”, military experts wrote about land, see and air forces and there is an interesting chapter with quotes and excerpts from speeches about disarmament (pro / con) by political party leaders in Germany (Adolf Hitler, Dr. Brüning, Konstantin Hierl, Franz Ritter von Epp, Ernst Thälmann and others) and outside Germany (Lord Cecil, Lloyd George, Dr. Edvard Benes, President Herbet Hoover, Senator William Borah, Benito Mussolini, Josef Stalin and others).

The 7-¾ x 9-½ inch, 168 pages gray linen hardcover book was published by Drei Masken Verlag A.-G. of Berlin in 1933.

This 90+ year old example of Welt in Waffen is in nice used condition. The cover is somewhat discolored and page 161-162 has a tape repair.

No loose or missing pages, no odor.
