This is a very nice example of the 6 x 9 inch 96-page, very heavily illustrated softcover book Wem gehört die Zukunft? Sozialismus gegen Plutokratie (To Whom Does the Future Belong? Socialism or Plutocracy?) by Harald Jahrl as published by Nibelungen Verlag of Berlin in 1940.
Virtually every page of this heavily illustrated book mirrors photographs of life in Nazi Germany with similar scenes of daily life in Great Britain, as well as important figures of German and British society. All pictures have rather cynical captions. Hermann Göring is shown opposite the chief of the RAF, uniformed parading members of the HJ and BdM are shown opposite British children and students, productive German farmers are compared with British farmers living in substandard conditions and British and Wehrmacht soldiers are also compared.
Author Harald Jahrl was active in the National Socialist Student Leadership and created a superb study in contrasts between two of the oldest European societies. A rare book and this First Edition of Wem gehört die Zukunft? is in very good little-used condition. No odor.
The cover was designed by H. Stöckmann and this is a First Edition published by the famous SS Publishing House.
