This is a 1938 color illustrated text book for people studying for their driving license called Lehrbuch für Kraftfahrer aller Klassen with material assembled by engineer Ernst Zinkler, incorporating all the new traffic rules and regulations as of 13 November 1937.

The 4-3/4 x 6-5/8 inch, 70-page softcover booklet is heavily illustrated with color and black & white illustrations and was published by Fahrschullehrmittel-Verlag Werner Degener in 1938. The 85+ year old Lehrbuch was used (but not abused) and is a bit discolored, but it is complete and has no odor.

It was produced for three driving schools named Fahrschule Karl Pankl located in Mürzzuschlag, Bruck am Mur and Leoben.

It is Volume I Verkehr (Traffic) with ground rules for participants in traffic, right of way, driving on the Reichsautobahn or around a roundabout, what to do when encountering Wehrmacht or NSDAP columns (image and regulations shown right), instructions for driving on the same road with a funeral processions or emergency vehicles, parking, exam questions and answers and car basics about lights, license plates, etc.

There are several colorful pages of road and traffic signs, including signs drivers might encounter on the fairly new Reichsautobahn or freeways.
