There are pictures of Nazi mass meetings at the Zirkus Krone, the first display of the swastika flag, anti-Semitic illustrations from Auf gut Deutsch, Nazis in trucks, Nazis in boats, and the earliest Deutschland Erwache Fahne or flag. The first Deutschland Erwache standard is shown along with the man who made the metal portion above the flag - goldsmith and Party member Otto Gahr. There are photos of the first Party Day and the earliest Sturmabteilungen, the NS Drum Corps, Adolf Hitler's 1923 'hide-out' on the Obersalzberg outside Berchtesgaden, and National Socialist gatherings everywhere throughout Germany.
This is a very nice original example of the ultra-rare, very early Nazi Party photo documentary Vom 9. November 1918 zum 9. November 1923 - Die Entstehung der deutschen Freiheitsbewegung (From 9 November 1918 to 9 November 1923, the Formation of the German Freedom Movement) by artist Albert Reich with a text by O.R. Achenbach as published in 1933 by Verlag Franz Eher Nachfolger of Munich, Germany.
This is a book that reaches as far back in Nazi history as any book can, to the days of the Soviet Republic in Bayern (Bavaria) and the opposition to it from Dietrich Eckart, Adolf Hitler, Julius Streicher, Alfred Rosenberg, Anton Drexler, Franz Ritter von Epp and Gottfried Feder.
It is filled with unusual photographs of the postwar revolution carried out by the Nazis from their primitive headquarters in the Sterneckerbräu against the communists who had installed themselves as the government of Bayern.
There are extremely rare photographs of the halls in the Hofbräuhauskeller, Eberlbräu Stadtkeller in the Rosenheimerstrasse, the Gasthaus Deutsches Reich on Dachauerstrasse and the Festival Hall in the Hofbräuhaus. Each of those was an important venue in the origins of the Nazi Party in Munich.
There are also pictures of Hitler and his entourage in prison in Landsberg and of the martyrs of the Putsch. In the back of the book there is even a picture of the first director of the Nazi Party office in the Sterneckerbräu Beer Hall in Munich, Party member Schüßler, a regimental comrade of Hitler during World War I.
This extremely rare 6-1/4 x 9 inch, 160 page very, very heavily illustrated soft cover Nazi book is in very nice used condition. There is a book plate inside the front cover showing this book was once part of the library of somebody named Stegemann. Tight spine, no odor.
This rare original, very early Nazi Party photo documentary is
