This is a fine old reprint of the extremely rare Third Reich book that quotes the law regarding the display and use of the Hoheitszeichen or Sovereign Emblems of Nazi Germany. It was called Die Hoheitszeichen des deutschen Reichs (the Sovereign Emblems of the German State) and it was published for the Reichsministerium des Innern (State Ministry of the Interior) in 1939 by the State Publishing Office in Berlin. This was a special Ministry of the Interior publication, obviously printed for limited distribution to law enforcement agencies and Nazi Party officials at the highest levels.

This faithful reproduction of Die Hoheitszeichen des deutschen Reichs has had English captions added to the German captions on most of the color illustrations and is printed on much better quality archival paper than that used in the original book from 1939. The Nazi eagle and swastika flags and emblems literally pop off the beautifully printed glossy pages!

Belongs in any library on the subject of the Third Reich.

The 52 page, heavily illustrated softcover book is about 8-½ x 11 inches and is well-indexed to both the 28 German language pages of regulations in German Law that governed the size, shape, manufacture and display of any of the eagle and swastika emblems and flag of Nazi Germany, and to the 24 pages containing 12 full-color plates (there is no printing on the back sides of the color plates) of flags, pennants, seals, signs, helmet decals, visor cap and hat badges, etc.

The part of law prohibiting Jews from displaying or having anything to do with the Hoheitszeichen are quoted in full.

The artwork on the full-color plates is superb, and each item is referenced where necessary to sections in the text which further illuminate pertinent German law.
