This original Third Reich 2-sided bombing victim ID document was issued to a 23 year old man named Krinz of Köln (Cologne), after his house was completely destroyed during an Allied bombing raid on 30 October 1944. This Ausweis für Fliegergeschädigte or Identity Document for Bombing Victims was issued by a special Einsatzbefehlstelle of the NSDAP in Cologne on 4 November 1944.
It states that the victim's house was completely destroyed during the Allied bombing raid, that it could not be occupied any more but that the Krinz was not wounded during the destruction of the residence. This rare 4-1/8 x 5-3/4 inch Nazi ID was valid until 30 March 1945. Condition exactly as shown above, 100% original to the Third Reich period.
JUNE 1943 NAZI ID OF AN RAF BOMBING RAID VICTIM IN WUPPERTAL
The city in North Rhine-Westphalia east of Düsseldorf, was (and is) home to industries such as textiles, metallurgy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, electronics, automobiles, rubber, vehicles and printing equipment. The second largest and extremely destructive incendiary bomb raid took place the night of 24-25 June 1943. This original 4-1/4 x 5-7/8 inch, two-sided Nazi ID card was issued to a young woman whose residence was completely destroyed during that night.
This Ausweis für Fliegergeschädigte or Identity Document for Bombing Victims was issued to 25 year old Anna Nootmann by the NSDAP Kreisleitung Wuppertal two days after the RAF raid and states that her house was completely destroyed, not inhabitable any more but that she herself was not harmed.
There are many handwritten entries on this Ausweis für Fliegergeschädigte. There is one dated 23 July 1943, proof she received a 500 Reichsmark payment (about $125) from the War Damage Office in Wuppertal. She received another payment of Rm 500 on 29 September 1943, but by then she was in Aschaffenburg, a historic town just east of Frankfurt on the river Main.
A historic, 100% original Third Reich air raid victim ID, condition exactly as shown above.
During World War II, the industrial city of Wuppertal was the target of many bombing raids, mostly nighttime RAF attacks during the British-waged Battle of the Ruhr bomber offensive.
This original June 1943 Wuppertal bomb victim ID is ** SOLD **
